Suggested Rides:

Ship Cove to Punga Cove - one day ride

Bikes 'n all on board Endeavour ExpressDepart from Picton on Endeavour Express at 9:00 a.m as we head off to historic Ship Cove.

You will have plenty of time to explore here before starting your ride. The first hill is difficult and most riders end up pushing for much of the way. The problem is not so much the steepness as the tree roots, rocks and gullies. The view from the first saddle makes the effort worth it and the downhill to Resolution Bay is another reward for the climb.

At Resolution Bay take a break for coffee and muffins before continuing to Furneaux Lodge where another break may be in order at the pub!

The last stretch is quite easy going although sometimes very muddy around Big Bay.

Endeavour Express pick up at Punga Cove is 3:00 p.m for return to Picton.

Punga Cove to Torea Bay - one day ride

Depart from Picton on Endeavour Express at 9:00 a.m (all season).

From Punga Cove ride up to the Kenepuru Saddle to join the Queen Charlotte Track. From here to Torea Bay there is a wonderful succession of switchbacks as the Track goes along the hilltops.

There is a panoramic viewpoint at Eatwell's Lookout, about 45 minutes from the Kenepuru Saddle. It is best to leave bikes on the main Queen Charlotte Track and walk to this lookout. Be sure to take your camera.

Endeavour Express pick up at Torea Bay is at 4:00 p.m so you should have time to visit Portage Hotel for a well deserved cold one or two before returning to Picton

Depart from Picton on Endeavour Express at 9:00 a.m (all season) or 10:00 a.m (early December to mid February)

From Punga Cove ride up to the Kenepuru Saddle to join the Queen Charlotte Track. From here to Torea Bay there is a wonderful succession of switchbacks as the Track goes along the hilltops.
